Game Instructions

by Cat Rambo

You start on a notepad, looking out in all directions. To the east there is a hammock, surrounded by cacti. To the south, there is a yellow dog. To the west, there is Civilization. To the north there is a door.

Should you go east, the Forces of Repose will overtake you, and griefers may take advantage of you.

Should you go south, unless you have a stick, the dog will bite you. Once bitten, you have -5 endurance for up to 24 game hours.

Should you go west, there will be a pause as that area loads. The area you imagine during that pause, filled with high-caloric beastly fidos and Blue Mountains Full of Twilight Shadows, will always be better than the area that actually loads.

Should you go north, you will open the door and find The Garden of Textual Delights. Sipping 1 of 5 types of coded drinks ("ale", "whiskey", "mountain dew", "water", "badu"), you will rest for a turn and find yourself at full. Ticked and restored, you will proceed to a variety of areas. Here is the list:

North - EverWinter
East - The Sea of Dreams
South - Southern Sorpigaal
West - A Midsummer Night's Forest
Up - Dragon Perches
Down - The Sewers

Ignore all gossip channels; the newbie channel will no longer be audible after level 3. Beware of griefers. "Use candle" will illuminate darkened rooms; type "leave" to escape when you are inside an object. Type "leave".

The end.
